Happy Birthday Mr. B

Happy Birthday Mr. B!! One year ago today we adopted Brody and he has been the perfect addition to our family ever since! The boys love him, he is so tolerant of their poking and pulling at him and we couldn't stand to be without him! True...I could actually stretch my legs out at night before him...but I wouldn't change a thing! I can't count the times over the past year we've asked ourselves why someone would give him up?! In the end...he was meant for us and not them. For that...I am truly grateful! He is probably the smartest dog I have had and I swear he actually knows what we're saying to him. Oh how I wish I could be in his mind one day and figure out what he thinks! Especially when he sees the boys running towards him :) Happy Birthday Brody! We love you!!

Off to Papa Goats Tree Farm

Off to Sparta...to Papa Goats Tree Farm! Last year was the first year we traveled to the mountains for our tree and we had so much fun we went back to the same tree farm. They have everything you can want...hayride, great trees, santa, free hot chocolate, cider and marshmallows and animals on the farm. Not to mention they are so friendly and they treat everyone like family. We will definitely be back again next year

Max is off to find a tree...watch out!
Aiden helped me carry the long pole. Such a big helper!

Max is searching high and low. He thinks his measuring stick is a telescope!

Still looking for the perfect tree!

Taking a little break. I love those boys so much!!! My heart overflows...

And of course Max got stuck in the brush. No worries...we got him and all was better in 10 seconds!

We founds the perfect tree...but Max continues his search...

On our way back to the farm to warm up with some hot chocolate!! The wind was COLD!!!

Aiden telling Santa he wants a crane with a dump truck and also some zhu zhu pets with a home.

Max was a little flustered with Santa...so instead of telling him what he wanted for Christmas...he just told him about his 'light up shoes'. Too funny! It's almost like his little brain was saying, "Quick...say something...anything...this is my chance!" And all he could talk about were his shoes.

Stuffing pure sugar into his mouth before the car ride home! We had such a great time riding to the mountains and just having some relaxing family time. We hope you all are enjoying your family and taking some time to slow down a little bit this holiday season. Merry Christmas!!!

Happy 5th Birthday Aiden

I'm so behind!! Mostly because the past few weeks have been so busy and fun that there hasn't been any time for blogging. But I can't very well let my little boy's 5th birthday go by and NOT blog!!

My little boy is 5!! (sigh). Hard to believe, but he's growing up! This was by far the best birthday yet purely because of how excited he was to be turning the big number! He's a whole hand now! On his birthday he told everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) that his name was Aiden and he was 5 today! It was so cute to see how proud he was of himself. And to be honest...we're a little proud of ourselves too because he's such a great kid. I know we don't have everything to do with that...I give that to God...but I would like to think we had a little to do with his loving, caring, sincere and hilarious personality.

We love you Aiden!! We hope you had the best day ever!! We sure enjoyed it with you!

Aiden had a great group of kids come to his party! They all had a blast...and the parents did too!

I found these cute favor bags over at Perideau Designs. Head over there and check them out! You can get them personalized and they are priced great. They even have some for the holidays!

Aiden got to count down for the lights to be turned off for the Glow party. He had a blast...."LIGHTS OUT WOO HOOO!" Those were his exact words.

Cute Max in the boxing ring...

And of course his Toys Story cake!

Even though he tells me 'he's allergic' to cake...he still wanted a cake made by his mommy. I'm glad he thinks I'm cool....that won't be the case for much longer I'm sure!
